I Just Came Back From Mexico. In Canada I Am In Remission Because Of Being On The Keto Diet....sugar And Carbs Make Me Flare.
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I didn't have any flares in Mexico, I ate sugar and carbs every day. I got home and tried to look up HS people in some Mexico cities and there don't seem to be any. I have always thought when I go to the Caribbean my HS is good, and I have always thought it was from the salt water? But now I'm wondering if it's the way they cook their food, I find it odd I can't find people from Mexico with HS?????? I got a flare the day after I returned, so back on the diet??? I am puzzled???

What Is A Good Diet For HS
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I'm starting to notate everything I'm eating daily. I eat Ice cream year round. I eat Bread, almost all vegetables, a lot of different fruit, Seafood, Chicken, Beef, and Turkey. No Pork. I drink Cold Drinks sometimes. What's a good diet for HS? Am I doing ok with listing what I'm eating? Where to get a Nutritionist?

Will You Be My Diet Accountability Partner?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I know for a fact my HS is from metabolic syndrome. I can’t control HS diet on my own. I know high blood sugar wrecks my thyroid, causes my IBS, and causes my HS flares. I lose and gain and lose and gain due to emotional eating, lack of better food resources etc. Yet better food choices are always available. I just many times make bad choices. I tried Overeaters Anonymous for this but I loathe 12 step programs and the partners in it were terrible for accountability. You don’t have to be obese or… read more
