Such as areas that aren’t exposed to air as much like thighs!

If you get inner thigh boils it is because you are dragging bacteria from your vagina or urinary tract from your panties onto your skin when you drop your panties to use the bathroom. Then the bacteria gets into pores from friction or shaving. I haven had any since I take hot bay every day and if I can’t I use Everyday Clean baby wipes (because they are unscented and I’m not allergic to them) fromWalmart and wipes down. I sanitize my toilet seat every day with 91% alcohol and never sit on a toilet anyone else uses. If I do I lay down toilet paper on the seat and If my thigh touches part of it accidentally then I spritz there with 91% alcohol. I am careful not to cross contaminate my body while bathing. I wash face, chest, belly, back wounds a wash cloth, then the armpits with one cloth. After picking up staph from armpits I get a new wash cloth and do legs, thighs feet. Then a separate clothe for pubic area and then either my ands or another cloth for butt. If ever you feel damp or sweaty, wipe down with wipes and change clothes immediately. If you wear incontinence pads or sanitary napkins change them 3 times a day or any time they get damp. If there is smell, wipe down. I haven been broken out since. I do not use a razor on armpits or thighs. Only battery shar er that comes apart for sanitizing with alcohol and rinsing and drying. I do not use Dial or antibacterials except in extreme situations to remove biofilm. But if stay clean this way don’t get biofilm.

I am on the keto diet....no sugar no carbs and have no active HS. I have 2 spots that leak every day still (old lesions that I think are drying up), but they leak minimally. I bandage them all day, and clean my groin with a facecloth and hot water at bedtime. If I go off the diet, which I do for celebration meals, I get a small flare that's gone in a week!.....I could have a whole chocolate bar and not get a flare because I stick to the diet. I feel so lucky I can control it after years of pain, stink, pus and feeling disgusted with myself! Mostly over the years I have bandaged and tried to ignore! Living life is so much more important than HS.....never let HS win!!! You are a good person, you are not dirty, you deserve to have a good life filled with happy memories and laughter! Make it happen....Huge Hugs!!

On top of HS, I have a sensitivity to bandaid glue but have found some Kroger ones for sensitive skin that don't burn my skin. I go through them quicker but at least I don't have bandaid burn marks! I usually use them to help for "padding" or if it's draining so it doesn't stain my clothes.

Hey Chass.....you are right on with what you do....I am pretty much doing the same, and my HS is almost non existent. I love chocolate and some carbs so I cheat and I will get a small flare that goes away quickly. Like you say, it's not always easy, but life changing for sure. So many on here say oh ya I tried a diet, didn't work. It is a commitment and I think so many are afraid to try, to have to give up anything is not ideal. But if you have HS the rewards are amazing. I have lived with HS 40 yrs and it is so worth giving up a few things so I don't have pain, swelling, itching, more pain, yucky mess of lesions breaking. The money I've had to spend on creams, cleansers, gauze, bandaids etc......I do believe anything that goes in your mouth, directly affects your body. Those who complain about how bad their HS is need to get serious about what goes in their mouth instead of the powerful drugs with devastating side effects! Good for you....life is good eh!! Hugs
