I'm Retired Federal Employee. I think that's expensive but I pay $5 a month for the meds which I think is good.

I have been prescribed this medicine for stage 1. I only have 2 reocurrent boils. The dermatologist didnt ask me about my birth control but I am worried it will affect it as it says it regulates hormona inbalances?

What Are Some Of The Alternatives Used In Place Of Doxycycline?

Personally, I'm allergic to Doxycycline. And that not the only one. I'm a microbiologist's worst nightmare :S
Allergic to Penecillin, Erythromycin, Clarithromycin, Clindamycin and Doxycycline.

Are there any other alternatives that others take? My doctor put me on Ciprofloxacin before my last surgery, that almost made things worse! Had to switch to Fusidic acid cream, that seemed to do more but isn't a long term solution.

Any suggestions?
