Having HS has drastically affected my sex life. Most of my lesions are in my groin or “Intimate Area”. I use hibiclens and other natural soaps that are hydrating to combat the dryness from hibiclens.
I am also in remission from breast ca and taking an ai med. I am now on Humana which has really helped me with large breakouts. I still get smaller one but not as bad as they used to be.

Maby some men go through it to but because it’s hard to explain to ppl or others a lot of ppl are not educated or know about HS or because how you may feel or look at yourself others may also look at you the same way the scars on your breast groan area your butt

I have been doing research on a more permanent solution for my HS and found articles saying that the flare-ups stop after you go through menopause. I am going to ask my doctor about getting a hysterectomy for this reason as I am almost 40 and do not want children. I am wondering if anyone else has had success with this? I tried hormonal birth control and it has been a nightmare. Almost a constant period and repeat flare-ups that I did not have before trying the birth control.
HS worsened for me as I started menopause and now that I am post menopause, it is even more horrible!
