I'll jump right in, I first noticed the smell behind my ears around 3rd grade. I've tried everything. If I don't 'pop' these at least every 2 days, they pop themselves. (They can pop up anywhere back there, they're not always in the same spots) They don't hurt, not swollen or red or anything until after I squeeze out as much as I can. I also happen to have Hyperhydrosis along with a few other debilitating conditions. I don't know what to do. I finally got a referral for a new derm back in Nov &… read more
What made me finally see a derm (also had hs since I was early teen) I had a little bump like that under my chin/ jawline, that I used to squeeze. One day, I squeezed too hard , played with it too… read more
So I got a huge one under my breast, and there is now a massive hole it's so painful. How do I heal it, or what can I do. I just put a plaster over it at the moment. Also, I got a massive one under my arm. It's hard and as big as a tennis ball, but it hasn't been drained yet. I have it for almost 3 /4 weeks
I would get an appt to see your dermatologist or even PCP. With the redness and rash extending from it looks infected and that you may need antibiotics. In the meantime, keep it covered with non-stick… read more
I have a spot on the side my breast. It is aggravated by friction from my bra and the arm seam of my shirt's. I am sensitive to adhesive tapes and it is a sensitive area. I have used paper tape and a nonstick pad but that doesn’t stay on well. Any bandage recommendations? What do other folks use in sensitive areas? Thanks. ❤️🩹
They're expensive, but silicone foam dressings were the best thing I found that didn't aggravate my skin. I save those for when I have something that's draining or bleeding a lot. My wound care nurse… read more

Hey ladies. HS is something else. Have you tried an elimination diet? I finally cut out dairy and nightshades which are triggers for me. I also went plant base and juicing and helped tremendously with… read more
It's very hard. I just tell and send that person a pic and let a person know it's not contagious.
Hello members, I hope you are doing well and in good spirits. This is my first day in this community. I have a mild-to-moderate case of HS and usually take oral antibiotics or have had minor incisions or drainage. But I am scheduled to have my very first HUMIRA injection on Aug 30. I am wondering if anyone can shed light on HUMIRA. Successes on efficacy? I am weary and have mixed emotions because I have read feedbacks from HUMIRA site and some are very good but also have seen information that… read more
On it for 6 months now don’t know if it’s working, because I’m trying many other things. About to start infusions tomorrow.
Before that I found sanitary towels were great, I would trim down a stick with medical tape. X
I'm curious if anyone has had success controlling their HS with diet changes alone. What did you do? I've just finished a 2 week round of doxycycline with zero improvement, in fact it seemed to get worse. Ive had the same sore since Nov 2022. I was recently diagnosed and prescribed doxy at a walk in clinic, and my first dermatologist appointment is next week so I'll find out what my options are then I guess. My mind is going down a rabbit hole thinking I'm going to be on hard-core antibiotics… read more
