So I have a question...does HS come on your back? Some days ago I have notice what I thought was a pimple...but this is no pimple..on the middle of nyt back on the spine. It was small ..but it grew in size. No pain to it. Just sometimes feel itchy. Been putting some warm compresses on it. Can't even see it myself unless I get one of my kids to take a picture of it. Anyone read or hear anything about certain vitamins helping with HS? Thought I read a study recently suggested people with HS may be more deficient in Vitamin D, B12 and A??

Dr. Kimball mentioned Hormonal Treatment for HS instead of Antibiotics. Would Hormonal Treatments be recommended for older ladies or for men?
Fatima, Do not know the answer. I took Vivelle patches till age 50 after my hysterectomy. It might would help. My h.s. was not as bad while on them.
HS is still a new diagnosis to me and my specialist is not give me many answers to my questions. I typically get the responses “there’s no clinical evidence or studies”, “I don’t know, I just go off of what the patients tell me”.

IDK but keep taking them. I here Zinc is lacking in most HS sufferers. I take them all each day.
Also, what kind of vitamins can I take to help with HS?
Mostly everything I've tried eventually stops working. The turmeric helps the swelling for a little while but eventually causes it to get worse I've learned that regularly alternating what works helps… read more
I found I was low on vitamin d and iron so given prescription for those for 6 weeks and now on daily otc vitamin d
Hi so I’ve just started my journey into finding out if I do indeed suffer from HS. I’ve been suffering for around 20 years but I’ve never looked into an any diagnosis because I thought that was just me. I’ve recently had a pilonidal cyst removed and I’m on a round of antibiotics as my stitches have become infected :(
