It’s been recommended to take a bleach bath during a flare up, but I can’t recall the strength of bleach the doc suggested, and I’m not sure where to find it. Anyone know what she’s talking about?

Nope! HS isn't infectious so it can't be passed from person to person.
I was recently diagnosed last year but realize I have had flare ups for a few years. We just always thought they were ingrown hairs in my groin/pantyline. Currently in the midst of one and I’m miserable. I’m lucky b/c mine aren’t that bad, but I’m terrified of what they could become.
