I was in the ICU a month ago with pneumonia. Was on very strong antibiotics. I have not broken out since. I have a severe case. Usually I have at least 2 lesions at any given time.

Hello everyone. I am new on here. Obviously very annoyed and discouraged about my HS and would love any tips and recommendations! Ordering the “HS magic ointment” I have seen posted on here. Anyone have good tips or remedies for the scarring?
Sending you hugs and love from NC

Hello, I was wondering if anybody has asked their dermatologist or any dermatologist if HS is caused by apocrine sweat glands would removal of those help or eliminate symptoms? Are apocrine sweat glands necessary for survival or can they be generally safely removed? Is there any research with apocrine sweat gland removal and HS? If removal can be helpful what are the side effects and what adjustments can be made to minimize them?

Was watching real housewives of Salt Lake City. Mary mentioned she suffered from HS and had all her sweat gland removed. Anyone know if this could help?
I was given that option many years ago however it is very painful and doesn't always work. I decided to ride it out.
I was diagnosed w HS a year ago and pcos about a 6 years ago and I’ve doing a lot of research.
I tried using tea tree oil and it helps somewhat but lately I’ve been having flares more often.
I’m currently taking metformin and ibuprofen for pain along w a topical cream for antibiotics and quit smoking weed because I read it exacerbates flares.
Wondering if maybe laser hair removal could help diminish the frequency of flares.
Has anyone else had it done and did it improve your condition?🤔
I did hair laser and it did improve my thigh/groin HS.
Hidradenitis suppurativa stage 3 2011 .come frist. Then diabetes come next 2018
I was recently diagnosed last year but realize I have had flare ups for a few years. We just always thought they were ingrown hairs in my groin/pantyline. Currently in the midst of one and I’m miserable. I’m lucky b/c mine aren’t that bad, but I’m terrified of what they could become.
Also I love my Rheumatologist .....
