Don't use it anymore. Generally use Clindamycin lotion instead.
I have stopped years ago of using deodorant because of the flare ups
I switched from antiperspirants to natural deodorants. I try to get a kind without baking soda because that irritates my skin. I'm still trying to find one I like best, but my local Natural Grocers… read more
Yes absolutely!
What kind of smell do you have with HS?
Having an issue, but really don't know what's going on. The dr says I have been taking in to much protein, and need a more balanced diet. Been drinking more water and switched up my eating, but the smell seems to keep coming back. Definitely calmed down some, but still smell it from time to time. Please help, never had an issue with it before, after I turned 40 it came out of nowhere.
Hi👋🏼. Hope all is well!!! I wish you could elaborate a little more .... I've noticed from time to time a mild scent under my armpits. I started using a deodorant rock and it's been so effective. I… read more
Non adherent pads are a must!
I was recently diagnosed last year but realize I have had flare ups for a few years. We just always thought they were ingrown hairs in my groin/pantyline. Currently in the midst of one and I’m miserable. I’m lucky b/c mine aren’t that bad, but I’m terrified of what they could become.
Also I love my Rheumatologist .....

I was diagnosed w HS a year ago and pcos about a 6 years ago and I’ve doing a lot of research.
I tried using tea tree oil and it helps somewhat but lately I’ve been having flares more often.
I’m currently taking metformin and ibuprofen for pain along w a topical cream for antibiotics and quit smoking weed because I read it exacerbates flares.
Wondering if maybe laser hair removal could help diminish the frequency of flares.
Has anyone else had it done and did it improve your condition?🤔
I did hair laser and it did improve my thigh/groin HS.
