I was recently diagnosed last year but realize I have had flare ups for a few years. We just always thought they were ingrown hairs in my groin/pantyline. Currently in the midst of one and I’m miserable. I’m lucky b/c mine aren’t that bad, but I’m terrified of what they could become.

I found I was low on vitamin d and iron so given prescription for those for 6 weeks and now on daily otc vitamin d
Does anyone else get what looks like a big blackhead under the skin where a boil used to be? I get ones that look like a little tunnel...and the tunnel is filled with blackhead goo.
I’ve tried to treat them like blackheads, but it hasn’t really worked. My HS meds (Metformin) work for my boils, but not these. Pic is from a dermatology website, but this is what they look like.
I soak in an salt bath and I make sure it’s steamy to open those up... then I use my Clarisonic on the areas and they appear gone. I also had them extracted at my dermatologist. That was the best… read more
