Has Laser Hair Removal Help Anyone With Flares?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed w HS a year ago and pcos about a 6 years ago and I’ve doing a lot of research.
I tried using tea tree oil and it helps somewhat but lately I’ve been having flares more often.
I’m currently taking metformin and ibuprofen for pain along w a topical cream for antibiotics and quit smoking weed because I read it exacerbates flares.
Wondering if maybe laser hair removal could help diminish the frequency of flares.
Has anyone else had it done and did it improve your condition?🤔

Different Types Of Surgery For Under Arm?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I had a previous surgery under my arm. Which happens to be my first ever encounter with hs. But tbh I don't remember what I had done. Well anyway I'm going back in to have it looked at again. What is a surgery u have seen done a second go around. I think I had a deroofing? I'm trying to avoid having one surgery when it should have been something different the second time around if that makes sense. I have heard of instances where docs ( general surgeon) will do the simple less tedious surgery to… read more
