I'm curious if anyone has had success controlling their HS with diet changes alone. What did you do? I've just finished a 2 week round of doxycycline with zero improvement, in fact it seemed to get worse. Ive had the same sore since Nov 2022. I was recently diagnosed and prescribed doxy at a walk in clinic, and my first dermatologist appointment is next week so I'll find out what my options are then I guess. Hello! Brand new to this group of support! I have not been diagnosed with HS (yet) but I'm positive this is what I've suffered with for 10-15 years. I know the doctor says you shouldn’t do this and I know you have to be really careful not to get sepsis, but sometime the pain is so bad and I cannot get an appointment I will cut myself to ease it, does anybody do this also?

Currently using this product and it makes the boils come to a head and drain. It's making them hurt so badly but I'm trying to focus on the end goal. Just curious if anyone else is using it or has tried it. It's not cheap so, not sure many people get it. I just recently came across it and been using for just over a week. I just want to live one day where I walk normal and have no pain!!!! 😣

Some people believe that HS is contagious skin disease or think it's some form of STD , so what information would you like to give to people about HS and about living with HS?
That it is due to uncleanness. I believe that is the reason it has been covered up for so long. People on here have had this thing for 40 years.
It might surprise you to see the symptoms of staphylococcus areus infection, I believe doctors are wrong about origin of hs just Google this bacteria, I've been told it's what caused my hs by doctors years ago, see what you think.
Matthew 2, I took doxycycline in different doses, but think I also became immune. It no longer helped at all. Asked for Bactrim and it did seem to help, but still not completely cleared.
I only have groin/butt flares. I’ve never had any armpit or chest spots at all. I’m wondering for those of you who have both is it similar symptoms or do they have key differences?
I have flares in both areas from the start. This is the worst!
