For me I had to do trial and error. After suffering for several weeks I went to urgent care and the doctor put me on an antibiotic, bactrim seemed to work for me. I had to take it for almost a month. Meanwhile, I use hibiclens soap and a cap of bleach water.(not too much) I take Vitamin D, B-12, Zinc, and Echinacea. I changed my diet by cutting out certain foods especially diary, cheese was the hardest for me. I drink green tea and water, no sodas. Bigelow has a great selection to choose from. Green tea with pomegranate, green tea and elderberry. For topical application, I use coconut oil or aloe vera get depends on how deep the wound is. I found a ginger oil that I use a few drops. I put coconut oil and a few drops of ginger oil on cotton ovals that are the perfect shape and size for wound. You can buy ovals at the Dollar store. The ginger oil I found on line. I do bird baths in the morning, when I come home from work, and before I go to bed. Hot water is a no no. Luke warm is better.

I wish you all the best and feel free to use this platform and support group. You are not alone on this journey.

Dawn Has given you some great advice and if you don't mind I would like to say to you you are definitely not online in this fight against HS I been dealing with this for 35 year's and I rarely spoke about it to anyone I've tried over the years but always felt whom ever I was talking to really didn't understand I believe if you don't have it then you really can't understand what we are going through people try to understand stand and I really feel that they can't. I've only found this about six months ago ( by accident ) and it has really been a blessing to me and I'm sure it will be to you as well there are a bunch of people on this site that are very knowledgeable about HS and also supporting, compassionate , and what can I say just really good folks so please feel free to ask any questions you may have no one in this will judge you because we've all been there at some point and no reason to be embarrassed ( like I was for so many years ) so sit back and relax and finally get things off your chest and learn like the rest of us are because we are all learning from each other and it's a really great and beautiful thing we have here and I hope it serves you well like it has me . So let me say to you Welcome to your/our HS site . I am going to add you to my team I hope you don't mind?

Thank you so much. You almost brought me to tears because I have never met anyone that even remotely knows what I'm going through. My whole life is about to change and I'm willing to do Whatever I have to do to gain control over this disease. Bless you Dawn
