I had a bad flare a while back and it ended up bursting then leaking for a few days, I am not left with a hole that doesn't seem to be healing.
I have been using NanoSalv wound treatment in it which has helped close tunnels before but does not seem to be doing much on this. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to get it to close?
It sounds like you're referring to tunnels associated with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). These tunnels, also known as sinus tracts, are hollow connections that typically form between infected HS… read more
Im trying to figure out "what" is causing my mast cells to be triggered & keeping this inflammatory nightmare going. I dont smoke, not obese but i DO have chronic pancreatitis. I read that insulin resistancy can play into HS. Ive also had a problem with candida which keeps mast cells inflaming everything. So im curious 'if' my long time gimpy pancreas has caused a blood sugar problem thats causing candida and HS?
Thanks. I think the blood sugar is causing the candida. Which in turn keeps my mast cells triggered and causing constant inflammation. I want sure if anybody on here has candida issues as well?
Non adherent pads are a must!
I was recently diagnosed last year but realize I have had flare ups for a few years. We just always thought they were ingrown hairs in my groin/pantyline. Currently in the midst of one and I’m miserable. I’m lucky b/c mine aren’t that bad, but I’m terrified of what they could become.

Nope! HS isn't infectious so it can't be passed from person to person.
Yes, you can get disability benefits for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). HS is recognized as a condition that can qualify for disability benefits under the category of skin disorders by the Social… read more
