I’ve not tried a washcloth with Epsom salt, is this to help with draining/ready to go or when they are coming up?

It apparently works for some people but if I put it on something that hasn’t reached a certain point (I.e beginning stages of a lump) it has caused severe pain and swelling due to it drawing the drainage out. For me it’s best during drainage to get the remaining out.
