Is there a specific diet I should be on that helps with HS & does anyone ever feel low of energy
There are foods out there and ideas 💡 for recipes that actually help people with inflammation problems as in the ingredients that you can use and to avoid
Energy wise plenty of protein but remember with HS even though it will show signs 🪧 of a slight infection if you got tested you will suffer with low energy problems like feeling like you have lack or no energy to do anything and depression and even arthritis etc it doesn’t just stop 🛑 at one ☝️ thing unfortunately it has a devastating effect on your heath in general
It’s normal in my experience anyway I can’t say anything about others out there and when you add all these things up you can actually understand why a scientist 👨🔬 can’t 📌 point the start of the problem
Certain things they do know
I’ve tried different diets. For me nothing made it better or worse. However, I did cut way down or eliminate some foods that cause inflammation.
There's no single "official" HS diet, but research suggests that certain eating habits may help reduce flares and inflammation. Here are some approaches that have shown promise:
- Mediterranean diet – focuses on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seafood, and olive oil
- Plant-based diet – emphasizes foods from plants Show Full Answer
I do kinda of follow the Paleo diet.
One surgeon says to concentrate on what you put on your body not what you put in it.
A dermatologist I saw said no chocolate or Coke and said some Pepsi was ok.
I personally suggested no processed foods. I follow most times, especially deli meats. I buy freshly sliced deli meat for sandwiches or slice up smaller for salads or omelets.
I am also have other diet/eating issues. My GP says for me to eat fast food
2x a week😁 YEP! I need more salt! I don’t really always see flare ups over food. For me stress is what causes me flare ups.
Hope this helps
Hi. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this. I was diagnosed in 2015 and have been in and out of remission. I’m currently going through a pretty rough flare up right now that started in June. I had been in remission for about two years prior to that. As far as diet, I did Autoimmune Paleo/Paleo diet for several years. I went into remission for quite some time or if I did have a flare, it was a single one and could be taken care of with a quick steroid shot. I can’t say it works for everyone and it is a very tough diet but it was worth it to not be in so much pain. Before this last flare my diet had been trash, eating just about anything I wanted. I also gained 10 pounds since last year. I don’t think it’s coincidence that my health tanked along with poor diet choices. Oh, plus crazy perimenopause stuff! I hate you have to be in this community, but if you’re ever feeling low, this one helps you see you’re not alone. Best wishes to you. ❤️
