This is unfair. Talk to a lawyer. You have a chronic illness.
I have an appointment with a dermatologist but getting a appointment is tough so my appointment still is 3 weeks away. Ive taken Dr notes and have used my PTO. But he doesnt seem to care about why I take off only that im taking off
I will still loose my post. I wont loose my job but I would loose the post that gives me insurance and higher pay rate.
Ask for an intermittent leave accommodation form. Doctor will complex and return to the department in human resources that processes Employee accommodations. You will have to renew them each year.
Hi there! So, I recently had an abscess to burst not deeply within the inner layer. However, I do have something draining at the top near my tailbone and, like you I’ve been enduring and surviving HS. First, I went to patient first and met a very informed and down to earth doctor who was informed about HS. He gave me a referral to a rectal and colon specialist since the abscess is in that neighborhood. From that appointment, they in turn referred me to Derm Associates of Virginia. I even informed the doctor at Patient First that because I said the majority of the day in an office environment, could he write me a letter stating that accommodations would be made due to the location of the abscess and the nature and progression of the disease. Keep all your medical records and any pictures you may have. Ask about FMLA but you would need to ensure you have all your medical records supporting the HS DX. If you lose your insurance apply for Medicaid but Medicaid is income based. Every job is different but check into FMLA
