I have serious HS tracts, lesions and abcesses on my buttock which frequently flare up and drain considerably. After cleaning the area with Hibiclens, I then apply a fairly thick layer of zinc oxide, then cover with a taped abdominal pad. This has seemed to reduce draining and even pain.

Glad you find the zinc helpful, as I do. All of us try so many different topicals with varying degrees of success. We just have to keep trying. Thanks, Kelly.

You're not the Halifax Peter Parsons I knew back in the day in Santa Barbara, are you? Try zinc oxide. Again, this is on my buttock. I've tried so many topicals, but zinc oxide has its useful place. Moisture barrier and protects the skin. Best of luck!
