I had one on 2010 before I was diagnosed with hs so in my case no it didn't help
Of course the AI answer skates around a real answer. I haven't had one but contemplating lately for a other health reason. But I have heard that flares change or cease with menopause so it must have some affect on HS. I haven't reached menopause to say for sure but it seems to be worth looking into but not with AI, it hasn't had menopause or HS to know anything it hasn't been told.
