Sorry to be grarfic but I need any ideas to help clear this before they put me through another I n D. This has been festering for 5 days. It is hard to walk. I went through 16 major surgeries on my armpits and breasts but now it is in my groin area and that hasn't happened for over 18 years. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Stephanie

I'm newly diagnosed but I have been using turmeric oil for my recent flares. It has decreased the time of flare-ups. I have only been using this for about 2 months. The summer months are the worst for me. I have tried all the above as well.

• Wear breathable, comfortable underwear (cotton or bamboo fabric work well)
• Keep skin moisturized with unscented lotion For bandaging the sensitive groin area, several myHSteam members have found success with:

• Large Band-Aids with extra gauze
• Cloth bandages (Band-Aid brand or Elastoplast)
• Feminine hygiene pads as an absorbent, cost-effective option
• Hospital-style bed/table liners with paper towels to manage drainage

Since this is a significant change in your HS pattern after many years, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider about adjusting your treatment plan, especially since Humira's effectiveness has decreased.
