Several medical treatment options can help heal HS wounds, including oral and topical antibiotics, particularly the combination of topical clindamycin with oral doxycycline. Your healthcare provider may also recommend steroid injections, anti-inflammatory medications, or biologic drugs depending on your specific situation. For wound care management, keep the affected areas bandaged using absorbent materials like gauze. Your dermatologist might suggest applying a washcloth soaked in diluted white vinegar to help with odor. It's important to keep the area clean and wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent further irritation.

Congratulations on your significant weight loss - this lifestyle change can help manage HS symptoms. Since you mentioned having diabetes, metformin might be worth discussing with your doctor as it can potentially help with both conditions.

Da.vid Jay.....wondering, if you lost that much, did you follow the keto diet....it's no sugar and no carbs and fabulous if you are diabetic. I am on keto and have had HS over 40 yrs. I am in complete remission because of keto and I have 2 lesions that have dried up completely. I have used drawing creams in the past and they just keep drawing but don't seem to dry up lesions???

I tried "the magic healer" on amazon, it has helped me a lot. The lavender one and the tea tree one. Obviously doesn't cure it but it helped relieve pain and reduce swelling. I put bandages over it with the ointment.
