Has Anyone Experienced Tunnelling Of The Wounds & How Did They Get This Treated?
Recent flare up has resulted in tunnelling or holes in my arm I’ve had this for 3 months and the nurses can’t get rid of it
So I had mine left open for packing to heal inside out, so Firstly it kept refilling, then just tunnelled of to new spot on right one and took 8 months for the inscision to eventually close, to this day the wound never healed flush I have two incision marks that are closed about 0.25 cm below the skin so have weird flaps. And my left armpit we believe was already tunnelled as when they were packing it and measuring the depth discovered a tunnel. But this sides skin was so thin it just kept splitting new openings, I started with one incision and ended up with 7 holes for over 6 months. It’s now closed but all bunched up and still have thin skin around it.
@A myHSteam Member after the drainage did they stitch it back up and how did you know it wasn’t healing? I had my first drain a week ago
Get your gp to chase dermatology, it took me 2 months for mine, but my gp and nurses chased them for me. Yet my mum has had hers cancelled by them, and it’s beeen around 4 months now, but about to restart it all again with the doctors.
I had 2 incision and drains, with no luck kept reaccuring and tunnelling and looong healing times. And its taken 11 months to get into plastic surgery for full excision through nhs,
Hang in there!
Hi All update - I have had surgery praying this is successful still waiting for dermatology to reply despite being referred 3 months ago!
