Has Anyone Been Intimate With A New Partner After Being Diagnosed? If So, How Did You Approach The Topic Of Oral Sex?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I'm between stages 2 and 3 in my groin, side boob and armpits, thighs. I also have a lot of scar tissue in and around my labia but only on one side and I'm terrified and already embarrassed. He knows all about the condition and doesn't care...but I still feel like reading and photos are different than being in an intimate situation with me.

So I was the same way. So I approached the same way with every guy I met. Which was to send them to the horrible stage four photos photos of women's genitals. Because I wasn't going to waste my time. And the conversation got easier to have every time just to say.Hey listen this is what's gonna happen later in my life.I need to know if that's something can deal with, if it's not.I'm too good for you. And then I sent Jeff to the same photos. He asked a couple questions. I answered them. And he said "I like you. I'm fine with skipping sex if that's what needs to happen. That's not the reason I'm talking with you." I of course , didn't believe a word of it at first.
I forget this myself. But we are all just as beautiful outside. And as anybody on this Earth, who doesn't have HS. Everybody's got something on their body. They don't like. Everybody's got something in their past that they're not proud of. And the ones who pretend like their shit doesn't stink, Are the ones who aren't worth your time. Please believe, The person who's meant for you will react the same way jeff did for me. "Yeah, okay I see ,I understand. So what? I want you." I honestly one hundred percent from deep in my heart believe that.

Just have to say it warms my heart ❤️ that you have such a supportive partner I'm single I'm terrified to date because of having to explain my hs the draining swelling scar tissue

Sounds like you already have some good communication going, and in my experience that’s the most important part for any good relationship. Best wishes ❤️
