You & ur doctors need to come up with a plan of treatment you are happy to at least start with and go for their. If plan is not working for you, reschedule & go back to see drs for a revision of ur plan for sure I would call & let drs know the plan is not working for you & for whatever the reason. Keep vigilant on this Lots of Caring Love & Support Here !!!

I was entirely off of antibiotics for 2 and 1/2 years while having 2 breast surgeries and 8 months of Humira which my body did good with at first, then I got 2 staphylococcus infections back to back and took myself off of Humira. I have low dose 65 mg monocycline to take 1 a day now. Yes, if I am not having any flares, I will save a few for emergencies. However, lately I have needed them.

That is what I have to do. Most people who are in the stage of HS that I am take Humira or something. I have no medical insurance so that is not an option for me. I use homeopathic medicine and vitamins and I treat the HS when I'm in a flare. Well, a really bad flare because it costs $200 every time I have to go to the doctor and I just don't have the money. Homeopathy is a wonderful option, but eventually I have to get help from modern medicine.

I have taken no meds at all for years other than a cream "Taro Miprocin". I find it's not that great, and I have had minimal HS for the last several months because I am on the keto diet. Not much seems to work very well or consistently, but the diet does it for me!
