Different Seasons Help Or Make Worse
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

my mother actually asked me that yesterday So I told her that it really doesn't matter but I do seem to notice that when my skin and the air is drier I do better

Cand, I can live anywhere, but the temperature has to be between 45 to 85 about for my h.s. to be controlled. So, I love the South, but they have to have A/C. The heat will break me out and give me yeast infections.

I would say the summer especially humid climates. But when I lived in the desert it was fine. Food plays a major role and hormones for me. Flares are worse when my cycle is on but Humira helps

Justin mmmm thank you I just 2 years ago I just came down from 7,000 above sea level my body had a wicked wicked her time making the adjustment and I don't know how it had such a hard time making adjustments but I was on the airplane going in and out of consciousness and then when I got back down I was all the way in Miami where I was exactly at sea level I think that has something to do with elevation in my HS too but God damn man I couldn't do this summer and then I couldn't do the winters I would literally die is my body would not be able to know how to adjust to that I've been having more flare ups coming back home in 0 altitude

As a guy whos had HS for about 29 yrs who lives in South africa 🇿🇦 Johannesburg in particular we are at a very high altitude as a city and have quite a varying degree of temperature changes and weather conditions from season to season pretty hot with rain in the summer 28 to 33 degrees Celsius is average for our summer and chilly and very dry in the winter 8 to 14 degrees Celsius is about average in our winter, I've found that the change of seasons definitely have a flare effect on my HS but generally I find my skin to be much calmer and stable in winter. There are so many variables that can play a role in flare ups etc but the weather is definitely a big factor and particularly during the change of the seasons.
