I feel very tired and sleepy. Find it difficult to focus. Stare blankly at the board. The sudden shooting pain/discomfort while sitting doesn't help. If anyone could give tips to cope, would be great.
I live in the GTA and have been formally diagnosed, but I definitely have HS. Developed it in high school! Yay…
Anyways if anyone knows of a Dr, I’d love to get it touch with them and book an appointment.
So my daughter is 12. She had two burst abscess; one healing nicely and the other is slower at healing but it's looking as though it's healing. She has a few red/purple ones which do not bother her as such and a large 10p sized one that's tender but the one that burst, there is now a big lump just a few centimetres below it. It's flesh coloured and more raised/prominent. Does this happen when others burst? She's gone three days off school from being in immense pain - taking a week's worth of dox… read more

Hi so I’ve just started my journey into finding out if I do indeed suffer from HS. I’ve been suffering for around 20 years but I’ve never looked into an any diagnosis because I thought that was just me. I’ve recently had a pilonidal cyst removed and I’m on a round of antibiotics as my stitches have become infected :(

Hello members, I hope you are doing well and in good spirits. This is my first day in this community. I have a mild-to-moderate case of HS and usually take oral antibiotics or have had minor incisions or drainage. But I am scheduled to have my very first HUMIRA injection on Aug 30. I am wondering if anyone can shed light on HUMIRA. Successes on efficacy? I am weary and have mixed emotions because I have read feedbacks from HUMIRA site and some are very good but also have seen information that… read more
Unfortunately, I've had COVID twice. Both times, I had a major flare-up as I got over it. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen, or if anyone knows if there is any correlation between the two? (I have one theory, but I'm no expert... however, is it possible that as the virus dies, it uses the skin as one way to exit the body?)
I believe anytime there is stressors on your body a flare up can happen. Mine is stress I get huge painful angry flares in all the wrong places.
So I have a question...does HS come on your back? Some days ago I have notice what I thought was a pimple...but this is no pimple..on the middle of nyt back on the spine. It was small ..but it grew in size. No pain to it. Just sometimes feel itchy. Been putting some warm compresses on it. Can't even see it myself unless I get one of my kids to take a picture of it. That is how I knew it has grown in size plus feeling it. I don't dare to try to squeeze it. Am scared. .I heard HS forming on your… read more
