I've been on Metformin for over 10 years. However it was prescribed for my diabetes. Contracted this beast about 4 years ago..,
If you two metformin you still have to eat low carb and low fat because if your pre diabetic or diabetic the sugar will eventually rise even in the medicine.

Dr. Kimball mentioned Hormonal Treatment for HS instead of Antibiotics. Would Hormonal Treatments be recommended for older ladies or for men?
Fatima, Do not know the answer. I took Vivelle patches till age 50 after my hysterectomy. It might would help. My h.s. was not as bad while on them.
I lose and gain, lose and gain. I just lost 6 lbs. But last 3 days been on an eating bender I guess because it is a holiday. Everything is closed so I stocked up on lots of food which began to tempt me. Once I had chips and pie I just blew it bad. I never keep those things in the house normally. I'm starting to notate everything I'm eating daily. I eat Ice cream year round. I eat Bread, almost all vegetables, a lot of different fruit, Seafood, Chicken, Beef, and Turkey. No Pork. I drink Cold Drinks sometimes. What's a good diet for HS? Am I doing ok with listing what I'm eating? Where to get a Nutritionist?

Today my heart was broke. I went to a 'new to me' dermatologist. I had my previous out of state records sent. My journal from my last two flare ups. And was ready to talk business. The doc selected 'Does HS studies/research'... I knew I just had to be in the right place
