If anyone has suggestions on how to get out a little more to also get air. Feel free!

Something that's low pressure, not for sure if being on a porch counts as getting out of the house to get air.

Or if you physically have to go to a place to get out more, and not just appointments.

Yes, sitting on your porch absolutely counts as getting outside β€” fresh air is fresh air, no matter where you find it! There are no rules here. 😊

For staying busy at home, there are plenty of low-pressure hobbies that can help take your mind off pain:

- Painting or drawing
- Reading a book
- Baking or cooking something new
- Playing an instrument
- Doing puzzles
- Writing or journaling
- Learning a new language
- Listening to music
- Gardening (even a small porch garden counts!)

A myHSteam member shared that focusing on a hobby really helps distract the mind from pain, which many others seem to agree with. For getting out a little more, spending time in parks, gardens, or near water are great low-pressure options. Even sitting near a fountain or under a tree can do wonders for your mood and stress levels.

A few things to keep in mind when heading outside with HS:

- Try to avoid peak heat hours β€” mornings or late afternoons are much kinder on the skin
- Bring a handheld fan to stay cool
- Keep outings relaxed with no packed schedule, so there's no pressure if you need a break
