Members shared a range of topical options for managing HS in the groin area, including clindamycin, mupirocin triple antibiotic cream, Neosporin, silver gel, Manuka honey-based blends, and calendula cream. Several members emphasized the importance of gentle cleansing with saline or warm cloths, keeping the area dry, and using sterile gauze or breathable bandages to protect the skin. A recurring theme was the exhausting and painful nature of groin flares, with many encouraging others to work with a knowledgeable dermatologist for prescription options like doxycycline.

Clindamyacin is good topical for the groin. It is prescription.Bandage welk as not to get inside of you

My dr. Prescribed me doxycycline 100 mg. Twice a day for 10 to 14 days and mucocipin triple antibiotic cream. I would wash with warm sterilized wash cloth and dry with separate washed towel 2 to 3 times a day. Then I would put my antibiotic cream covered with a sterile gauze bandage. The cream seemed to soothe it. I know how painful it gets to the point of not being able to walk without pain. Please get yourself a good dermatologist or a dr. That knows about HS. If I can help you any other way please message me.

Calendula cream, Vitamin A , silver gel, tea tree oil, olive leaf extract, arnica cream, a little hydrocortisone cream and clotromizole or nystatin combination cream all together helps tremendously

Wash area with saline solution then dry with sterile gauze pad. Apply Cicitracin to boil, then follow up with Silver Oxide gel. Cover with breathable 3”x4”bandage. Follow with Doxycycline 100 mg 2x daily for 14 days.

The groin area is a real problem because the skin stretches and opens up every time you sit down or go to the toilet. It is a constant battle. I made a cream that is primarily Manuka honey, zinc oxide, clindamycin, acetaminophen Neosporin and Cerave anti-itch cream. Change padding often, cleanse gently every time you go to bathroom. It is exhausting and demoralizing. I use 3 different types of pads. Cheaper on Amazon.
