And for some odd reason I heard that IPL has worked better on people with lighter skin tones, than ones with a darker skin tone. I would think this would help anyone no matter there appearance. I'm fair/light skinned. Let me know if this is actually true.
I've looked into this also and was told that darker skin is not recommended for laser hair removal, because of the higher probability of developing keloid skin.
I've considered this also being that I'm stage 3. I was concerned if it would be successful. If you go through with it, would you please provide an update? God bless.
I can't speak to last treatments for HS, but I have had laser treatments in general to help control hair growth as a side effect due to my PCOS. They have been very effective, though it will continue to be something I do regularly do to my condition. However going from shaving my face every single day to getting the laser treatment every 10 weeks? I call that successful. I will say when I first got them 10 years ago, they were not effective. So technology changes all the time. Hopefully it can change again so this treatment can be more effective for stage 3 HS.
I have been on all the FDA approved biologics and I’m currently on the Bimzelx which isn’t really working anymore so I’ve opted for surgery especially since I had an hs boil implode in my breast and I developed sepsis followed by a breast reduction which has really helped.
