Can you receive disability benefits for hidradenitis suppurativa?
Yes, you can apply for disability benefits if HS prevents you from working. HS is listed as a qualifying skin condition by the Social Security Administration, which means you're eligible to apply for financial support.

I looked into it here ..but like u say seems pointless...if they knew the actual daily pain..they would reconsider some assessments I.e points etc...living with this is truly cruel..and doctors even hospital are unaware ov the ramifications ov this ..its not just a skin problem its very debilitating and painful..I wish you a better day darling I really do x
It really is, currently in a flare now and all motivation lost, low mood and pain high, but new meds cause bad interaction with the pain meds I usually take so having to suffer through until I can contact gp on Monday. So basically feeding my hs now with my emotions 😂 it says you can get pip and work, but having seen there point system I don’t know how. .
Oh bless you...dont think I'll get anything darling as im still working although struggling big time pain is soul destroying xx
