I used Cosentyx for 6 months and got results. It literally helped me get some of my life back. Reduced swelling and pain but pain is always part of HS. However, I'm now on Bimzelx and it's even better. Only a little over 6 weeks in and the improvement has surprised me. I can sleep with a low dose pain med and I can move around and walk without agony. Problem is getting insurance to pay. I was approved for Cosentyx but not Bimzelx. I was entered into a bridge program and get it for a 15 dollar copay. For insurance to cover it, you will have to have tried a list of other things that have failed but the bridge programs are available for people insurance has denied. You need the help of your derm office to keep appealing every insurance rejection. They handle that for me. See if your derm can get you on it any way possible. It's the single most effective thing I've tried. I saw results very fast. First week, in fact, and it's cumulative. Not a cure but so far, a lifesaver. I encourage everyone to try and get on this. Best to all.
I tried Cosentyx about 2 years ago. I didn't stay on it for more than two months for other reasons. However, definitely reduced pain and inflammation. I didn't experience any side effects. I currently started Bimzelx, subs it's the "new thing". If i don't see and improvements within 4 months or so, I'll be returning to Cosentyx for sure.
God bless add you make your decision.

I have had HS for 20 years. I finally went to a dermatologist who put me on cosentyx which I have been on for 1 year. I can ride my bike and hike again. There are days without pain that I forget I have HS. try it; it might work for you too!
While Cosentyx (secukinumab) isn't specifically mentioned in the search results, it's important to understand that dermatologists recommend treatments based on several factors including:
• Severity of symptoms
• Number of lesions
• Your general health and medical history
• How well you've responded to previous treatments
