As to whether it works or not, i could not say. The hair folicle thing I say is BS. I have wounds in my vagina! In my buttox! Under my toenail.
I bought my daughter a hair removing laser but she forgets to do it. This one cant be used around wounds and Im so severe I can not use it.
I can say that hair gets in my wounds all the time, snagging and hurting so removing for care would be beneficial even if the hair folicle thing is true or not.
