Update: I didn't continue Bimzelx after initial dosage. The pain was so excruciating that I ended up in ER twice for pain. Every lesion was flaring to a level I've never experienced! It hurt to lay down, to sit up, to shower, to use the bathroom. I hadn't cried from HS pain so much in all 25 years. I felt hopeless and was in despair. Thank you Jesus for my son who was there to help me. It just d8dnt work out for me. My derm has prescribed a new regimen. Taking Rifampin/ 300 mg along with Clindamycin/300 mg. I just started today, so we'll see how that goes. Praying for everyone that deals with this disease and God's guidance to the researchers. Keep the faith and keep counting blessings! I have just started my Bimzelx journey. I have only had 1 shot. I noticed I had a couple holes in my skin where there were boils under one of my arms. It also seems my pain level increased. I ended up going to the ER. My pain level was so high, I was prescribed Oxycodone. I was allay prescribed Prednisone. It made me wonder why I was never prescribed Prednisone by not one dermatologist. It seems to be working.
So sheet taking to my Dr., she suggested the holes are more than likely due to the deep draining of the tracts. Enix child make sense because the oyster drainage is thicker than ice ever seen it.
So she left the choice up to me to discontinue and try another biologic.
*sigh* I've decided to continue with second shot this week. Im going is a case of hers wise before it gets better. I'm motivated to continue by testimonies of so many HS warriors who excitedly share life changing results as early as 2 months.
Plus I'd like to give honest feedback about this drug. Agree the years of dealing with HS at level 3 severe level. I have to take one for the cause. If it worsens after second shot, I will go to ER and more than likely discontinue use.
