My derm just prescribed it on Tuesday. Does anyone else have experience with it? Even heard of it?
I was in a trial for 4 years with Bimzelx and saw massive improvement in my HS. It cleared my groin and breast areas entirely (only scars are left). My armpits on the other hand never seem to wanted to heal on the meds so I would say it worked somewhat. Only reason why I stopped the injections was because it was giving me psoriasis in my scalp. I hope it’s more successful for you than it was for me.
I've been on the hunt for different things otc that would help since drs and treatments are expensive. After yrs of searching, I think I've found what helps me the most. I only use antibacterial body wash with a cotton washcloth, head and shoulders mixed with psoriasis shampoo, only using personal trimmer with no guard to shave, bacitracin zinc on and around the affected areas daily, cleaning armpits with peroxide during shower means no deo needed since deo can cause it to get worse. I spend roughly $40 a month for everything and I haven't had a flare in over 6 months. It's less painful, doesn't bother me as much and they don't need to drain as often. Sometimes we have to think outside the box and Dr offices and help ourselves. At least until more research is done and we get definitive answers.
Thank you for sharing. I’m glad it helped. Sorry about the psoriasis. I hope so too!!

It's a biologic medication that works by blocking specific proteins (IL-17A and IL-17F) that cause inflammation in HS. Clinical trials showed promising results, with many participants experiencing a 50% Show Full Answer
