It’s like someone filled me with the Sahara desert. Having real hard time. Been in ER a lot. Severe dehydration, infectious colitis, eyes dry as a bone, painful bladder. Had lip biopsy to test for autoimmune Sjogren’s. Waiting for results. It seems different body parts come under attack. Sometimes it’s eyes, sometimes it’s skin. Presently it’s my intestines. I’m real dry no matter how much water I drink or olive oil I ingest. My blood work is negative for Sjogrens so not sure what’s up. I… read more

Linda748, So sorry to hear you have been in E.R. I went to hospital right before COVID hit about 5 years ago with dehydration and what they thought was c. Diff. I am also always dehydrated feeling. I can't wait to get an I V. to hydrate me when I get a medical procedure done. I stay thirsty all the time. Let us know how your doing. I have never heard of Sjogren's. 💜💜💪
Linda748, Dang it! Sorry you both have COVID. Get to the colon check ad soon as you can.
@A myHSteam Member. That’s bad! Sorry you have that. My sjogrens lip biopsy came back negative yesterday. So that’s good. I think mine is from liver problems and diabetes. I’m feeling g a little better today. I have to remember to during a ton of water. Even when I’m not thirsty. It’s hard to deal with regardless of the cause.
@A myHSteam Member. All my sjogren’s tests came back negative but a person can still have it and test negative or something else can be causing the symptoms. My symptoms are getting severe. I have an emergency colonoscopy at end of the month for colitis and to see what else is going on in my colon. Colon issues can cause dehydration too because the body will pull more fluid into it. Although my colon and rectum stay dehydrated too whereas most people with colon issues have diarrhea. But I have a semi blockage and the opposite. I don’t understand this but it’s scary to not be able to poop. I’m the same way about if hydrations. I wish I could have a stock pile at home and shoot up like a junky. I’ve found water enema help hydrate but that’s not a healthy thing to do often, avoiding excess carbs, sugar, salt help. Sometimes I think I’m dying of some mystery disease.this is really miserable. You might be getting colon issues too from monoclonals. Last few days had low back pain, fever, dry cough. My fever is beginning to break a little after a perfect blood sugar control day. My husband has also had some kind of mild weird flu. Might be allergies. We turned on air conditioner without cleaning it first, but we are getting too feeble to clean air conditioners and paying some one costs as much as a new one,
Linda, I'm so sorry you are doing so poorly. I pray they can find out what the problem is and fix it. Take care and be safe.
