Members shared a variety of remedies for managing the intense itching that often accompanies hidradenitis suppurativa, with popular suggestions including witch hazel, cortisone 10 cream, Magic Healer (a beeswax product available on Amazon), Epsom salt baths, and adhesive removal wipes for bandage residue. Several members explained that washing and drying affected areas frequently, protecting good skin from drainage, and keeping wounds bandaged can help reduce irritation, while one member found significant relief from prescription Accutane through their dermatologist. A recurring theme was that nighttime itching tends to be the worst, prompting many to experiment with hot or cold compresses and topical treatments until they found what worked for their individual skin.
