I don't think Metformin helps HS because I've been on it for 12 years and contracted HS 4 years ago.

Doctor's don't tell you this a lot of the time because our insurance doesn't pay for it or see it as medically necessary, but taking probiotics when you are on antibiotics is a must. It will keep you from ever getting another yeast infection, while taking antibiotics. I took have been on doxycycline for years and I can say that it doesn't take more than 3-4 days of being on antibiotics, without taking a probiotic each day with it and a yeast infection happens 100% of the time. So, if you don't want to have to spend $20 on yeast medicine and save money, then purchase probiotics, which you can get some for under $15 for a month supply and you will never have that worry again.

I been on doxycycline since October 2023, helps a little, can give you yeast infection and when it’s that time of the month my HS is out of control especially in my groin area waiting to see another dermatologist

Yep, that's the worst time for me too. I hope that combo works for you. My side effects were horrible. Best of luck to you!💓
