What Are Some Ways To Figure Out What My Triggers Are?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

In the middle of an absolutely horrendous flare in both armpits and under my belly. They won’t heal, they’ve all been open since mid December and I’m SO sick of antibiotics and prednisone. I have my first appointment with a derm but it’s not until June. I’m not sure where to start.

Hi. I tried Humira a couple years ago, and it wasn't that bad. But everybody's different. I do know if you try Humira and get on a program they have a person that will call and talk you through the injection process. They also have it where that call you once a week to make sure your ok.
As for your question, I have to do a research and found out that certain veggies cause a problem in the nightshade family. Tomatoes are my trigger food. And I had to stop eating them. And to be honest it sucked. But other then certain foods, stress is also a factor for me.
There is also other things to try right now like an antibiotic cream with pain relief, I know it helps me when I have an open sore.
Good luck.

What type of injections do they usually do? I’ve been reluctant to try Humira. The side effects seem worse than the condition it’s treating…

Ask your Derm about injections.
