I had both my armpits done like 10 yrs ago doc removed sweat glands. Have new Doctor now and it needs to be dug out again the hardest part is repacking after. You have to repack everyday or every couple days so it heals from inside out, best results I had to do it also on the vaginal area 2 weeks after delivering my first baby

I had my first de roofing done in November of last year and have scheduled 2 more since then because of tunneling that opens through the skin. If you get regular flares or open sores/tunnels I highly recommend - the most uncomfortable part is the injecting of local anesthetic after that you don't feel a thing until it starts to wear off. When it is wearing off it feels a bit weird, I took Tylenol for 2 days after mostly because I have a very active job and it was a bit sore - no worse than a flare for me.
Personally, with the proper wound care and dressing I found it very helpful - although it does leave a scar and I have not heard of any effective scar managements yet - I will be discussing with doctors in the next week to determine best approach to fade it.
