Members responded to a question about managing armpit drainage from hidradenitis suppurativa, with many noting that their discharge was odorless, though some shared it used to have a strong smell before discovering effective hygiene routines like Hibiclens, Dial Gold soap, and witch hazel. Several members offered practical suggestions for managing drainage, including Biotane dressing pads, homemade bandages made from thick paper towels and paper tape, and ice compresses for pain relief. A recurring theme was one member's enthusiastic discovery that aloe vera oil dramatically reduced both drainage and pain, leading them to cancel their sweatband order and wish they had tried it sooner, though they acknowledged that what works for one person may not work for everyone given how unpredictable the condition can be.

No need for the sweat bands now. The Aloe Vera Oil has stopped the drainage and the itching. I wish I would have used this once they appeared on my butt. Ugh!. Anyone need some pickle ball sweat bands brand new?

The Aloe Vera Oil has worked wonders. The drainage is all but gone. The minor pain is subsiding. It worked for me but may not work for everyone. That's how much of a beast this thing is.

Hi Richard. My flares used to have a Disgusting sweaty smell that made my stomach flip. I use Hibiclens followed by Dial Gold soap , followed by Witch Hazel. Whenever I have a flare now, I have no odor. Thank God for that. This is one aggravating disease! Take care ๐Ÿ˜Š
