It worked to clear it up but it’s not good to be in them often as your body builds resistance. Honestly they gave me a stomachache but I’ve been dealing with this condition mostly my entire life I don’t even bother with antibiotics anymore.

I was taking it for 6 months or so and it kept me from having flare ups. I stopped taking it 3 or 4 months ago, but have recently started having new flare ups again. I am worried about the long term use of Doxycycline though and would rather not take it, but also don't like the repeated flare ups either.

I’ve heard that doxycycline works really well for some people. It was prescribed to me but I quickly found out I have an allergy to it. Of course as stated everyone is different.
