I find tallow cream the most helpful for scarring (it's actually magical), although I have never used it on top of an active flare.

Doxycycline worked for me for a while but I found out a few days ago my body built resistance too it definitely call your doctor and get checked before hand so you are 100% sure you are taking the right antibiotic for you.
