Has Anyone Had Surgery To Have The Track Removed?
A myHSteam Member asked a question πŸ’

So I can't take Humira because I'm already on a biologic for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have 2 very bad HS tracks that just keep filling up, bursting and starting all over again. I went to the urgent care 2 days ago because one was in so much pain. I'm now on antibiotics and the Dr suggested surgery to have the track removed. Has anyone had this done and does it come back or is it gone forever? Appreciate all the help I can get. Really hate HS!!

Just had it done on my inner thigh they took all the skin off down to the muscle and left it open so it will heal from the bottom up there will never be another HS flare up in that spot because hair follicles are gone I didn't really have a choice but to do this so far everything is ok except for the wound vac is not so nice in the beginning but as time goes by your nerves get more use to it and it gets better

I just had surgery done on my breast they removed central Duct and I hope I never have one there again. They removed a lot of meat and tissue. I have a tube to catch all the fluid now. I have pictures but it's too gross to put up on here. But as above me Kristi mines look worse then hers but I know when it heals no more pain.

I’ve had a few surgically removed but 20+ years ago a MD did surgery to remove all my cysts on both sides of my groin. He basically did one long cut on both sides and removed what he could. It was horrible but I was good for awhile and then they started coming back again.

😁 yes πŸ™Œ I have had a track removed from my groin area and I have the photo as well 😁 but I don’t think πŸ€” I better put that up 😁 but I had it done not so long ago and it’s healing fine now and it was just a bit sore at first but it’s nothing to worry about I had 2 surgeries done in one ☝️ go 😁 great bloke that surgeon πŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ of mine and no pain either believe it or believe it not pain killers have gone in the bin πŸ—‘οΈ no need for them anymore or no pain relief in hospital πŸ₯ either 😁 πŸ’ͺ😁

I have had two surgeries under my arms. The first one they almost took out my whole underarm, it was a long recovery as they do not stitch it up it has to heal by itself. It worked well. The other arm however came back with a vengeance. I did notice though that I am getting more flares in my groin and on my breasts after the surgeries, don't know if they are related though.
