the best thing i learned is to overcome the sadness and the loneliness that i felt. i learned to love myself no matter what the circumstances no matter how painful no matter how gross no matter how it makes others feel. at this moment i am the best me i can be with the cards that were given to me. regardless of how many open wounds regardless of how many abysses i will still be the queen in my story i will press on and i will not fade into the background.

if you are struggling with feelings of self dought, loneliness, depression, anxiety it's going to be okay i've been there. it's a struggle always but it how you decide to look at your condition that gives it power. i decide to keep pushing keep smiling because it makes me feel better when i do. it took some years of therapy to figure that out but i'm better now and ready to face anything that comes my way no matter what.

Keep up with your treatments. And monitor your hygiene and eat better.

Patrick, everyone on this site, and there is over 30,000 are all going through the same thing as you. Some are worse, and some are better. You will meet lots of people on here that will give you suggestions on how they deal with their HS. You will find not everything works the same with everyone, but hopefully you will find something that helps your HS. Dr's don't seem to be very well educated on HS, and it can be a debilitating disease. Some on here cannot work and are on disability. Alot of them are depressed. Some struggle with daily function! This page will help you understand that we are not alone having HS, it's nice to talk to people that are in the same boat as you! So enjoy, meet new people, comment, ask questions. I hope this page can help you. I am on a diet that helps me, but doesn't seem to help everyone. If you are interested, let me know and I'll give you the details! Hugs

HS can easily control you.......you have to fight to control your HS. Do whatever you can to figure out what is best for your body to fight HS and stick to it! Never let HS control you!
