Hello Matthew. At least you know what's going on and your Dermatologist can treat each disorder individually. The HS, let's pray they get you in remission. Things will get better now. Don't worry or stress. It will make your HS flare and you don't need anymore problems. Stay strong Sweetie ๐
Never heard of this before, but I'm thinking you are probably not the only one on here that has this! Hugs
Okay! I had to grab a notebook! ๐ Because this was a female, hormones were seriously involved. However, men have hormones too! And possibly imbalanced ones, so it might be worth checking out your hormone levels. This lady was in complete remission on her entire body within six months after years of suffering. Accutane was found to be ineffective. But minocycline, 100mg twice a day, and flucloxacillin was effective. Unfortunately, the other drug treatments they gave her wouldn't apply to you because she also had PCOS which many of us females have. Talk to your doctor about this study! If you can avoid Accutane, it might be better. Give me a sec. I'm going to get the exact place this study came from! ๐
Have you looked at that Practice Update website I keep going on about? A lot of the research you're interested in is there.
