Sometimes my HS will just appear as a cyst-like thing that swells, maybe bursts, and then the swelling goes down. But sometimes they swell and fill with blood, and when they pop open it's almost like a blood blister, and then I'm left with a shallow open wound I have to cover and wait for it to heal from the inside out. Does anyone else experience this?

Had one for a year and then cured it using Benadryl antihistamine topical lotion, topical herbs, tea compresses, and Preparation H. It keeps bleeding because the follicle is damaged deep inside. There’s no infection but it can get reinfected. So I researched herbs that would shrink it. Took me about a month and a half to shrink it into oblivion using these things and changing the compresses or poultices several times a day. The tea and herbs made my skin real raw though. But the Prep H helped the irritated skin and also continued to shrink it. I don’t have a scar and can’t even find a trace of it. I used herbs known to shrink pores and kill germs, viruses and fungi.
