I have tried the hibicleanse. I couldn't tell it helped at all. I have saw an advertisement for Cln cleanser. Just wondering if it would be worth trying out. Or if anyone has another idea of something that worked better for breakouts. Thanks for your help

Christi, Hi. I also use CLn body wash off Amazon and aloe vera body wash. Both seem to help with the h.s.

When choosing soaps or cleansers for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), consider the following:

Types of Cleansers:
- Nonsoap Cleansers: Often milder and less irritating than traditional soaps. They lack the foaming chemical that can strip natural moisture.
- Antibacterial Cleansers: Help target bacteria and reduce odor from ruptured nodules and lesions.
- Antimicrobial and Antiseptic Cleansers: Examples include chlorhexidine and benzoyl peroxide. These can lessen bacterial resistance to treatments.

Recommended Soaps:
- Acne Bar Soap
- African Black Soap
- Crusader Safety Soap
- Dial Antibacterial Soap
- Carbolic Soap

Member Suggestions:
- Hibiscrub (Hibiclens): Used daily by some members to reduce flare-ups.
- Cetaphil: Gentle cleanser preferred by some members.

Ingredients to Avoid:
- Fragrances and Dyes: Known to irritate the skin.
- Parabens: Preservatives that can cause irritation and allergic reactions.

Application Tips:
- Use hands instead of washcloths or loofahs to apply cleansers to avoid breeding bacteria.
- Pat the skin dry after rinsing, don’t rub.

Natural Options:
- Tea Tree Oil Cleansers: Known for their antibacterial properties.

Always consult with a dermatologist to find the best option for your skin.

I use Dermoviva soap which is a kind of Neem soap. I haven't changed my shampoo over it. I still use Pantene for hair.

Lume. Look them up online. They have soaps, deodorants and wipes. Kind of pricey but they have great sales. Plus a little goes a long way. I truly love their products.
