What Are The Best Ways To Treat A Flare Up?

Never really been told what to do or what to use to help during a flare up. I generally squeeze out as much as I can & using shop bought dressings or plasters to cover them before & after rupture but this can cause more skin to be affected & create more lumps. Feels like I can't win so I try my best to make it comfortable enough to get dressed.

I use this really good Ointment called Magic Ointment HS. It really helps with the inflammation, discoloration, itching, pain, and healing . I have been flare free for a minute. Check it out on Etsy

When I feel one coming and when i want to bring it to a head faster, I put a warm turmeric green tea bag on it for a while then normally put a mixture of honey/turmeric/baking soda on it over night. After i take a hot tub in the morning it’s ready to drain

What I do when I feel them coming, not sure if anyone else experiences this before a pop up I can feel pressure and slight plain in the area. In an area like my underarm, under breast, sides or the inside of my thigh. I use a cloth bandaid with neosporan, keep the area clean and dry. Once it's "ready" for rupture, the way it feels under the bandaid tells me, I'll get a washcloth as hot as can stand and gently try and get some goop out. Still, clean and re-apply neosporan, and bandaid. Some of the sores I've had can be silver dollar or bigger open wounds... they need to be protected from further irritations. Just be sure to clean area and change bandaid often. Never ever use peroxide or alcohol. Peroxide hinders healing from cells, and alcohol for obvious reasons also hurts like a mofo. On my groin area... I just wear a pad and boy short undies... buy a smaller size then normally wear, it's restricting, but, helps hold the pad in place. Also, in off flare groin times. I recommend waxing or shaving. Helps when a rupture ... if happens say at work, not to hold that smell, keep baby wipes or my favorite, antibacterial hand wipes in your purse too. For those instances. These are just my suggestions as it's what I do. I hope I've helped. Luv & hugs
