How Does Smoking Affect HS?
A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

I see a lot of tips for reducing flare ups include stop smoking, and while I don't smoke cigarettes, I do smoke weed and vape. I do want to quit vaping, but I self-medicate for other conditions I have with weed, so I'm curious as to how smoking affects HS?

The reason why I say I don't think it has anything to do with your tobacco because one of the old remedies of pulling out a sit or a bee sting or a splinter was put tobacco when it with your spit and then put it on it and then put a Band-Aid over it but it has to be with spit

Well it does a lot more than I can say but when it comes to HS it throws off our matrix and our metabolics I don't think it has anything to do with tobacco I just think it has to do with the damage that we're doing to our membranes of the lungs too

I have always smoked but stopped HS in it's tracks by not eating potatoes.....still on the fags and flare clear.
